Full Job Description Summary:

Art of the Event provides exceptional, customized experience for corporate clients and event planners across New England, with the goal of delivering wow-factor at every set up. The Smalls Assistant performs tasks related to the storage and packing of items in the Art of the Event warehouse as well as packing and unpacking props for event set ups. This role focuses on construction and compilation of small event props and florals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however other duties may be assigned based on business necessity. Small Prop Assistance Assists with care, creation, and preservation of all small props and florals; methods and use of equipment in handling; and storing, maintaining, and shipping stock. Assists with compiling materials for pull lists at upcoming events in a timely manner. Organizes and packs small props with team in preparation for the event. Retrieves items from pull lists to fill operations and sales orders. Maintains timely and efficient "turnover" of small rental products between use. Helps to maintain and clean inventory; uses appropriate tools and equipment to maintain a clean, well-organized warehouse space for small props. Has a working knowledge of the Art of the Event inventory. Returns small props to designated storage areas after use. Departs warehouse and arrives at the venue on time; communicates with crew lead and Smalls Supervisor as necessary . Assists crew lead and Smalls Supervisor as requested for launch, load-in, onsite set-up, and strike. Compliance and Regulations Helps to support safety protocols in the warehouse. Adheres to warehouse crew dress code for warehouse and onsite at event assignments. Additional Requirements Supports operational success whenever possible. Consistently performs as a positive, supportive and professional representative of the organization. Performs other duties as required or assigned. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a step ladder at approximately ten feet in height). Able to lift heavy loads of up to 50 lbs regularly and manipulate up to 100lbs with assistance.
