Job Description

POOL-ology is not your average pool company. We build standout backyards, create genuinely useful content, and care a lot about doing things the right way. Our team moves fast, thinks creatively, and takes pride in delivering a great experience for customers and a strong, recognizable brand in the market. The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, producing, scheduling, and publishing content across brand platforms, managing community engagement, and tracking performance. This role owns both content execution and content production, ensuring a consistent, high-quality output of video and social media content that supports broader marketing initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Collaboration Contribute ideas for social posts and recurring series Participate in creative planning discussions Brainstorm new video concepts and content angles Suggest improvements to editing style and content strategy Trend Tracking & Performance Optimization Track and apply social media trends strategically Test content styles, formats, and hooks Analyze performance and optimize future content Understand intent behind each piece of content (awareness, education, promotion, etc.) Content Production Assist in planning and executing video shoots across POOL-ology and HTCT Capture high-quality video content using professional cameras and mobile devices Ensure proper framing, lighting, and audio during shoots Support on-site production logistics, setup, and execution Video Editing & Post-Production Edit short-form social content (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) Edit long-form video content when needed Add captions, transitions, music, and graphics Apply strong hooks and retention-based pacing Color correct footage and balance audio Export optimized versions per platform Maintain high production quality and brand consistency Copywriting & Content Support Write platform-specific captions aligned with brand voice Create hooks, short scripts, and attention-grabbing openers Adapt messaging per platform for performance Design thumbnails using Canva or similar tools Content Coordination & Workflow Ownership Track content status, approvals, and deadlines Organize and maintain media assets in Dropbox or similar systems Categorize and archive raw footage for reuse Maintain structured file naming and organization systems Identify content gaps and improve consistency Social Media Management & Publishing Manage day-to-day execution of social media across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn Maintain the social media content calendar aligned with campaigns and promotions Ensure all content is posted accurately with proper formatting, captions, and optimization Coordinate with internal team members for approvals and asset readiness Community Management & Audience Engagement Monitor and respond to comments and messages in a timely, brand-aligned manner Escalate leads or customer service issues appropriately Engage with followers and brand mentions to strengthen presence Analytics & Performance Tracking Track and report social media metrics Input data into reporting systems and scorecards Identify trends, top performers, and optimization opportunities Event & Brand Support Capture and publish content during events and promotions Represent the brand professionally in public-facing content Additional Expectations Perform other duties as required by the Marketing Director
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience managing social media for a business across multiple platforms Strong understanding of short-form video content and platform algorithms Proficiency in video editing software (Final Cut, Premiere, CapCut, etc.) Ability to shoot high-quality video content (camera + mobile) Strong writing and communication skills Strong organizational and workflow management ability Basic graphic design (thumbnails, simple assets) Ability to analyze performance and iterate on content Experience in pool/spa or home services industry is a plus
