Job Description

Job Summary The Tampa Bay Rays seek excellent candidates for the role of Manager, Planning and Development. The Rays' Planning and Development department is focused on long-term initiatives and facilities planning, including ballpark development and working toward the next home for the Rays in Tampa Bay. The Manager, Planning and Development position will support the activities of the department in a wide-ranging role. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in coordinating project activities including financial analysis, site diligence, stadium design, construction planning, real estate development, regulatory approvals, etc. Maintain organization and tracking of contracts, fulfillment, billing, payments, etc. Assist in developing, updating, and tracking department budgets, submitting invoices, tracking payments, etc. Assist in compiling and maintaining master schedule among project team Prepare professional presentations and reports for internal and external meetings Perform detailed research, summarize and share/present findings on a wide variety of project-related topics Perform quantitative analysis as needed (e.g. modeling, forecasting using Excel) Maintain and organize department files, records, contacts, etc. Maintain professional and courteous communications with internal and external stakeholders via phone and emaiL Attend meetings and take comprehensive notes as required Schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare for A/V needs, order catering, greet and welcome visitors, etc. Provide administrative support to the department as needed Represent the organization with a professional, positive, and courteous image Exercise discretion with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality Qualifications Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in a relevant field Minimum 2-4 years relevant work experience Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well as part of a collaborative team as well as independently Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented Experience with Excel modeling and data analytics is preferred Proficient with the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of products including PowerPoint We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
