View More Jobs Operating Group Director of Planning and Scheduling Pampa, TX, United States (Hybrid) Be the First to Apply Job Description SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Director of Planning and Scheduling to lead project planning and execution, develop standardized lean planning frameworks, and support project teams in delivering safer, higher quality, and more productive projects while minimizing risk.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define strategic direction for project planning and execution Integrate project planning with Lean and Innovation objectives Govern policies to guide project teams in planning and risk management Partner with Technical Leaders and operating groups to advance planning practices Lead and mentor planners, superintendents, foremen, and schedulers Document and share best practices for continuous improvement Improve project planning learning, development, and training programs Implement just-in-time training and planning support for project teams Develop Planning KPIs and assessment methodology Evaluate and adopt new processes, tools, and technologyQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field Minimum 12 years industry experience Success implementing Lean construction methodologies (Last Planner techniques) Experience leading and developing company-wide project planning programs Experience in field operations planning, work packaging, and trade flow management Preferred experience as superintendent or project manager on construction projects Commercial construction industry experience Practical experience in scheduling risk mitigation/claims Experience developing project schedules and collaborating with teams Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, initiative, and teamwork skills Ability to build consensus with leaders, superintendents, and planners Positive attitude and strong customer service skills Proven collaboration leadership with diverse teams Proactive, self-motivated, and takes initiative Creative team player inspiring others for the common good Passionate about new technologies, processes, and methodologies Expert in Master Project Planning Fluent in Primavera (P6) Strong knowledge of CPM, LBS, WBS, and The Last Planner System® Knowledge of MS Project, ASTA PowerProject, NetPoint, Synchro 4D, etc. Knowledge of 4D visual planning methodologies Knowledge of construction contracts and business practices Active listening and effective communication skills Knowledge of EEO, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources Tuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program The base pay range for this role is $154,700 MIN- $232,100 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL
