Lead and execute citywide and neighborhood-specific redevelopment planning initiatives aligned with the Citys Land Use Plan and broader redevelopment strategy while driving high-impact strategic projects and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously with agility and vision. Develop and lead community engagement and education campaigns to build support for redevelopment efforts through public meetings, stakeholder outreach, and collaborative partnerships. Facilitate negotiations for Development Agreements to advance transformative redevelopment projects, conduct data-driven analysis, prepare reports, and contribute to strategic redevelopment initiatives. Collaborate with developers, property owners, and cross-departmental teams to accelerate investment and revitalization efforts while ensuring redevelopment projects align with economic development objectives, market considerations, infrastructure priorities, and capital investment strategies. Serve as a key resource for citizens, developers, and stakeholders by providing guidance and insights on redevelopment initiatives, and deliver clear, engaging reports and presentations to City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, boards, and community groups. Oversee consultant engagements through effective performance, budget, and schedule management, while guiding and mentoring team members to optimize workflow and achieve departmental goals. Enhance digital and public communications related to redevelopment initiatives and apply independent judgment and a commitment to excellence in all responsibilities. Membership in the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) or the ability to obtain membership within one year is required Candidates must pass background check.
