JOB SUMMARY
The Tulalip Planning Manager leads and coordinates planning initiatives to guide the sustainable growth and development of Tulalip. This role oversees land use planning, zoning, transportation, housing, economic development, and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and community needs.

DOE MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
MINIMUM RELATED EXPERIENCE
Seven (7) years of experience as a Planner with project management; executing plans, tracking progress, adjusting as necessary and ensuring deadlines are met. Seven (7) years of experience working directly in urban planning or community development; implementation of comprehensive plans and strategies. Seven (7) years of experience interpreting and applying knowledge of municipal, state, federal laws and policies governing land use and urban planning. Five (5) years of direct experience with comprehensive land-use and tribal transportation planning. Five (5) years of computer experience utilizing Microsoft Office & GIS software. Five (5) years of experience with financial management to include, creating and maintaining an annual budget, grant writing, grant reporting, and grant management. Five (5) years of direct public speaking experience, to include presentations and project updates. Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES WA
State Driver License. (Personal Auto Insurance) Must adhere to the Motor Vehicle Regulations (Abstract Required) GIS Certification. AICP Certification preferred. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a Regular Full-time position.
