Are you passionate about advancing groundbreaking medical innovations and leveraging health economics to make a global impact? As a Senior Manager in Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) at BioNTech, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the value story of our pipeline assets. Collaborating across clinical and commercial teams, you will develop evidence-based strategies that support regulatory submissions, payer engagements, and health technology assessments. Your Contribution:

Lead Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) activities for assigned compounds and disease areas in collaboration with HEOR subject matter experts (SMEs), clinical teams, and commercial functions

Develop COA sections for protocols/statistical analysis plans and interpret trial results to provide actionable insights

Design Real-World Evidence (RWE) research studies using claims databases, registries, and electronic medical records to meet asset-specific evidence needs

Support regulatory submissions by developing documentation for agencies such as the FDA and HTA bodies

Drive publication strategies by creating abstracts and manuscripts on COA results from clinical trials

Manage operational aspects of HEOR activities, including vendor contracting, financial tracking, and training field teams on HEOR work products

Conduct targeted literature reviews (TLRs), systematic reviews, and indirect treatment comparisons to inform decision-making

A Good Match:

Master's degree required; Doctoral degree (PhD/PharmD/MD) preferred in Public Health, Epidemiology, Outcomes Research, Health Economics or related fields

Minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical/biotechnology/academic/governmental agency OR Post-Doctoral HEOR Fellowship; Master's candidates require 5+ years of experience

Strong understanding of FDA Patient-Focused Drug Development guidance and COA best practices

Proven expertise in developing preference-based PROs (e.g., EQ-5D) for clinical programs; experience with eCOA implementation is a plus

Track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications demonstrating HEOR expertise

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally Your benefits and remuneration: The Expected Pay Range is $130,800/year to $209,400/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
