The Consultant will support and lead projects focused on EMS, fire service, healthcare financing, Medicaid reimbursement, and public-sector consulting. This role works directly with state agencies, local governments, fire and EMS organizations, and healthcare providers to analyze complex policy, operational, and financial challenges and develop practical, data-driven solutions. The Consultant is responsible for managing client relationships, conducting research and analysis, developing reports and recommendations, leading project workstreams, and supporting business development and proposal efforts. Successful candidates will possess strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, along with a passion for helping public-sector clients improve services, strengthen financial sustainability, and achieve strategic goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Reviews and becomes a subject matter expert in EMS, fire services, Medicaid financing, reimbursement programs, and public-sector consulting operations.
+ Evaluates client programs and develops recommendations to improve operational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and program outcomes.
+ Analyzes and interprets federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and reimbursement methodologies.
+ Assesses industry best practices and provides technical assistance and strategic guidance to clients.
+ Manages projects, staff, and assigned tasks with limited supervision while meeting or exceeding performance expectations.
+ Facilitates client meetings, stakeholder discussions, workshops, and presentations.
+ Delegates tasks and responsibilities to project team members and provides oversight of assigned work products.
