is the membership association of Colorado's 21 CHCs which serve their communities by offering integrated primary, behavioral, and oral health care at over 250 clinic sites in underserved communities. CCHN is a dynamic and team-orientated non-profit of approximately 21 employees. CCHN's Policy Division is responsible for advocating for CHC policy priorities to state agencies, and state and federal lawmakers.

Duties Essential Duties/Responsibilities Develop and recommend strategic activities to accomplish CCHN's Public Affairs priorities. Co-manage CCHN's state legislative portfolio including analyzing and summarizing state bills, recommending positions and strategic advocacy when needed, and leading CCHN priority bills, in consultation with Policy Director, contract lobbyist, and team members. Track and develop comments on state regulatory activities that impact Community Health Centers with key state boards and departments. Represent CCHN and CHC interests at stakeholder meetings Contribute to CCHN's state and federal lobby-day events, held annually (CCHN's Policy and Issues Forum typically in March; CCHN's participation in the NACHC Policy & Issues Forum typically in February in Washington, DC.) Have or develop expertise and serve as a resource to others on topics such as: Medicaid eligibility (including Medicaid Work Requirements), Medicaid system delivery, Medicaid CHC reimbursement, integrated behavioral health care, value-based care, the legislative and regulatory process in Colorado and federally, 340B, telehealth, and more. Establish strong working relationships with CHC staff, partners, and other CCHN staff to offer training/technical assistance, problem solve and move projects forward. Demonstrate strong engagement by sharing information that may impact CHCs or political strategy with the CCHN staff, CHCs, contract lobbyist, as appropriate. Lead or support board committees and CHC peer groups, as assigned. Create content for fact sheets, materials, and other collateral to support lobbying and education efforts. Support CCHN's work to monitor the federal environment, and engage Colorado's Congressional delegation regularly on CCHN federal priorities. Other Duties/Responsibilities Report corporate compliance concerns to CCHN's Corporate Compliance Officer; any CCHN employee who reports a compliance concern in good faith is protected by law from retaliation. Assume other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Qualifications Business writing, with the capacity to deliver accessible information to a diverse audience, including technical and non-technical groups. Ability to think critically and strategically, problem solve, and practice solution-based thinking in a rapidly changing environment. Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak in front of groups and facilitate meetings. Demonstrated ability to work remotely and manage time and tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to work as a team member and work effectively with diverse groups.
Ability to travel:
within the Denver Metro area as needed (typically once or twice a month, and more during state legislative session), occasional overnight trips both in-state (approximately 2-3 times a year) and out of state (approximately twice a year). This position typically requires several hours of travel to meetings in the front range area monthly Application instructions
