Salary:
$21 per hour Overview The City of Atlanta Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking motivated and detail-oriented student interns to assist with various projects and initiatives related to government oversight, contract reviews, investigations, and public accountability. As an intern, you will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic governmental environment, working alongside professionals in the fields of investigations, compliance, procurement review, and public integrity.

Fall:
September 10, 2026 - December 17, 2026 •We will make accommodations for needs, including trimester schedules and varying academic calendars, and we will consider part-time schedule requests.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the review and analysis of government contracts, financial records, and other reports. Conduct research on best practices in government accountability, fraud prevention, and compliance. Help compile data and prepare reports for ongoing investigations and audits. Support the drafting of investigative findings, recommendations, and public reports. Assist in the preparation and presentation of presentations, briefings, and summaries for leadership. Help organize and maintain files related to ongoing reviews, investigations, and complaints. Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, correspondence management, and scheduling.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, and Political Science. Other degree programs will be considered. Strong interest in government operations, public policy, and integrity. Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with WordPress is helpful.
