full-time Why You Want To Work Here We are seeking an early-career Government Affairs Associate to support a fast-paced team working across government relations, public policy, and business issues. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in policy research, legislative tracking, advocacy support, and engagement with policymakers and business leaders. Responsibilities Monitor and track federal and state legislative and regulatory developments relevant to the organization and its members. Research policy issues and prepare briefing materials, background information, issue summaries, and meeting notes. Support government affairs professionals and lobbyists with research, outreach preparation, and follow-up. Assist with drafting legislative correspondence, comment letters, talking points, testimony, member alerts, and other advocacy materials. Help prepare for meetings with policymakers, congressional staff, member companies, consultants, and other stakeholders. Support the planning and execution of government affairs events, policy briefings, membership meetings, and other advocacy activities. Maintain accurate project trackers, records, research materials, and internal resources. Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, projects, and day-to-day government affairs activities. Synthesize complex policy information into clear and concise written materials. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects remain organized, accurate, and on schedule. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Political Science, Public Policy, International Relations, International Business, Economics, Communications, or a related field preferred. 1-2 years of relevant experience, including internships, in government affairs, public policy, Capitol Hill, government, trade associations, campaigns, think tanks, or similar environments. Strong interest in U.S. politics, public policy, international business, and economic issues. Basic understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes. Excellent writing, editing, research, and communication skills. Ability to research complex topics and synthesize information clearly and accurately. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Professional, collaborative, and proactive approach to working with colleagues and external stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
