The Public Health Analyst serves as the recognized resource for Hub Reporting/Data & SDOH Strategy Evaluation, providing expertise in data reporting for the MI Hubs and leading evaluation efforts for the implementation of the statewide SDOH strategy. In this capacity, the individual is responsible for supporting data-driven decision-making by offering analytic support to priority teams, developing methodologies for data collection and analysis, and contributing to policy recommendations based on evaluation findings. This role requires collaboration with internal and external partners to synthesize progress reports, develop evaluation strategies, and ensure the continuous improvement of SDOH programs. Responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, identifying trends, and translating data insights into actionable recommendations to enhance program effectiveness. Additionally, the position will ensure that data reporting efforts align with strategic goals, foster collaboration across sectors, and support initiatives that improve health and social outcomes for priority populations. Experience Departmental Analyst 12 - Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service. Additional Requirements and Information This position is being filled as a limited term assignment with the potential to become permanent, but it's never guaranteed.
Position Location/Remote Office:
The physical location of this position is 333 S. Grand Ave, Lansing, MI 48933. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, includi ng: A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
