Job Description

Senior Research Data Analyst (Health Policy & Management, Center for Gun Violence Solutions)
  • #Staf We are seeking a Sr.
Research Data Analyst wo will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies.

This position will work with a variety of PIs to help analyze and collect data across multiple projects.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop, manage, and maintain a database for study data for multiple studies
  • Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates
  • Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis
  • Develop data models
  • Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study
  • Build transmission models
  • Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts
  • Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the duties described above
  • Maintain relationships with community partners
  • Work across teams within an academic research center to translate data and information for real world application
  • Assist with both qualitative and quantitative data collection activities on various sites for large research studies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • One year of related experience
  • Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in a related field
  • Proficient in working with community partners, understand health equity, violence reduction, and social determinants of health.
