Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Fall we're looking to add an Environmental, Health, and Safety Co-Op located in our Orangeburg, SC site. Reporting to the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager, the student will work on technically challenging projects in support of real-time business opportunities, while developing skillsets and experiences. What a typical day looks like: Investigating incidents and providing guidance to reduce and prevent incidents from occurring again. Performing surveys and other sampling techniques to ensure controls are in place. Managing metrics for sustainability and other related certifications such as UL Zero Waste. Supporting the EHS team in aligning New Business Opportunities (NBO) with current EHS programs from project level to full production. Supporting the EHS team in managing environmental permits i.e. air, waste water, storm water, spill prevention. Participating and providing support to the Emergency Response Team organization. Interfaces with engineers and facilities personnel on environmental, health, and safety matters and escalations. Working on annual or key review projects as needed for the site. Student qualities we're seeking for this Co-Op assignment: Currently enrolled undergrad student pursuing Science or related degree. Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. Technical background with business-oriented focus. Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills. Previous internship experience a plus!
