Job Summary:
Builds and maintains meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with government entities, elected local, state, and federal officials by embodying world-class service, accountability and trust. Advocates for MTE and its members. Serves, in the context of the position, to fulfill the cooperative's strategic guideposts. Serves as a leadership example of the Ideal Team Player for the rest of the organization.
Job Requirements:
Encompass the three virtues of the Ideal Team Player (Humble, Hungry & People Smart). Four-year degree from an accredited college, with emphasis desirable in business, science, journalism, energy, public speaking, public administration or political science is required. Ten (10) years of professional experience in progressively responsible positions, preferably in government relations and/or with an electric utility. Strong communication skills and a proven track record of accountability, integrity and adherence to rules and regulations. Existing, positive relationships with local, state, and federal government officials desired. Knowledge of local and state agencies, as well as knowledge of local governments' practices
