Job Details Help turn policy into action that serves the community. As Legislative Analyst, you'll support City leadership by researching public policy issues, tracking legislative developments, coordinating strategic initiatives, and helping ensure City programs align with local, state, and federal requirements. This role serves as a trusted, nonpartisan resource for the Mayor, City Council, staff, and community stakeholders by providing clear analysis, presentations, reports, and guidance on complex municipal issues. The position also offers the opportunity to represent the city by traveling to Austin and Washington, D.C., and attending legislative meetings, conferences, and governmental events that help keep the city informed, connected, and prepared to respond to emerging policy issues. The City of Plano Department of Policy & Government Relations offers a range of benefits, including opportunities to travel and represent the City at regional events and functions. Employees may also have the option to work a four-day, ten-hour schedule, promoting greater work-life balance.
