Job Description
The City of Calimesa invites applications for Associate Planner to conduct complex professional work on difficult advanced planning projects; collect and compile data relating to land use and zoning; subdivision; and basic environmental assessment functions of the City including, population, housing, traffic, economics, air quality and related issues; performs related work as assigned. Three years of increasingly responsible experience, preferably in a municipal government or similar public agency setting and bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban and regional planning or related field, AICP Certification is desirable. A completed City application must be thoroughly completed. Resumes may be attached but will not be accepted in lieu of a City application form. Applications may be downloaded from the city's website at www.calimesa.gov. Apply by 5:30 p.m. July 20, 2026 to the City of Calimesa Human Resources Department, 908 Park Avenue, Calimesa, CA 92320. Medical Requirements - Individuals selected for employment will be required to take a medical exam and drug screening test. The medical examination is at City expense and conducted by a physician designated by the City.
