Job Description

This position applies knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Transportation Management Center operations to support the FDOT District Four Regional Transportation Management Center (RTMC) contract. This part-time position is based out of the FHP Lake Worth Regional Communications Center and works alongside FHP in support of improving traffic safety and congestion on SE Florida's interstates. Job Duties & Expectations Monitoring CCTV video feeds and other ITS devices to assist with detection of traffic incidents, disabled vehicles, congestion and other traffic related events. Utilizing SunGuide® and other Software in support of monitoring and reporting on traffic on I-95 in Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Saint Lucie and Indian River Counties. Job Decision-Making:
Consistently exercises good judgement, receiving instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and possible solutions. Work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgement and assistance by
RTMC Management Reporting:
Responsible for utilizing existing software platforms to produce reports related to the Lake Worth Regional Communications Center operations and analyzing these reports to ensure that Performance Measures are being met.
Documentation:
Responsible for assisting with updating existing documentation to document any changes noted from the previous version. This includes Standard Operating Procedures, training presentations and materials, and all other Program related documentation. Education, Experience and Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Required Experience:
Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Experience:
Transportation Management Center or Communications Center dispatch experience.
