Semi truck Logbook tracker

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Semi Truck Logbook Tracker to join our transportation operations team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate tracking and management of semi truck logbooks, ensuring compliance with Hours of Service regulations and supporting efficient fleet operations. Your expertise in transportation management systems, data entry, and analysis will help optimize freight movement, improve dispatching accuracy, and enhance overall logistics performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic supply chain environment where precision and communication are key. Knowledge of Motive app its a PLUS Responsibilities Monitor and record semi truck logbooks to ensure compliance with federal and state transportation regulations, including Hours of Service rules. Utilize GPS and GIS tools to verify truck locations, routes, and driver activity for accurate tracking. Input data into transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400 for seamless fleet management. Collaborate with dispatchers, drivers, and logistics teams via multi-line phone systems to coordinate freight pickups, deliveries, and schedule adjustments. Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or compliance issues; generate reports for management review. Maintain detailed records of shipping & receiving activities, freight movements, and driver logs with high accuracy through efficient data entry practices. Support shipping & receiving operations by tracking shipments using GPS technology and coordinating with 3PL providers for timely deliveries. Experience Proven experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and GIS mapping tools. Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and transportation planning principles. Knowledge of Motive app its a PLUS Excellent analysis skills to interpret data related to fleet management, dispatching, and shipping activities. Prior experience in dispatching or freight coordination within a logistics or trucking environment is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills coupled with phone etiquette for interacting professionally with drivers, carriers, and internal teams. Proficiency in data entry using systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400; familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures is a plus. Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
