Transportation Logistics Analyst

Collect, clean, and analyze shipment and lane-level data (e.g., cost per mile, on-time performance, dwell time, utilization). Develop and maintain weekly and monthly scorecards, dashboards, and performance reporting. Evaluate routing, lane structures, and service commitments; recommend data-driven changes to improve network efficiency and customer service outcomes. Forecast transportation volume and capacity requirements using historical trends and customer projections; recommend staffing, equipment, and carrier capacity plans. Reconcile freight charges and support invoicing controls, electronic billing documentation, and exception resolution processes. Monitor tracking and tracing data, identify root causes of service failures, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Support carrier and broker evaluations, RFQs, lane rate benchmarking, and total landed transportation cost analysis; provide award and sourcing recommendations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., TMS enhancements, standard work development, documentation workflows), and measure pre- and post-implementation results. Maintain compliance-related reporting and documentation processes, including safety and compliance metrics, customer requirements, and claims trend analysis. Develop job aids and train operations staff on reporting tools, data-entry standards, and updated workflows.
