Intermodal Coordinator We are seeking an Intermodal Coordinator to support rail, truck, and intermodal transportation activities. This position coordinates rates, service issues, tariffs, HAZMAT requirements, and UIIA-related matters while working closely with internal teams and external transportation partners.Job Description:
Maintain and communicate rail storage tariffs and updates. Prepare and circulate rail service advisories and operational notifications. Coordinate and resolve rail service escalations, including EDI and system related issues. Coordinate rail HAZMAT requests, approvals, and records. Manage truck rate requests for CNT (Customer Nominated Truckers) vs company-assigned truckers. Coordinate UIIA (Uniform Intermodal Interchange and Facilities Access Agreement) -related matters, including arbitration cases and agreement revisions. Work closely with railroads, terminals, trucking companies, customers, and internal departments to resolve operational issues. Maintain accurate records and provide timely follow-up on outstanding issues. Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes and service. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean transportation, intermodal, rail, trucking, or logistics. Ocean carrier and industry knowledge. Intermodal transportation, UIIA, and transportation operations knowledge preferred. Experience with EDI or transportation systems is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with internal and external partners.Benefits :
