Job Description

Community Planner Job Description Join our team as a Community Planner where you will bring your expertise in planning and development to create impactful projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, planners, and landscape architects to serve local municipalities and government agencies across Maryland and Delaware. Responsibilities Work on multiple projects and plans simultaneously, ensuring high-quality deliverables. Coordinate with teams of in-house professional scientists, planners, and engineers, as well as municipal and government clients and leaders. Support comprehensive and long-range plan research, development, and updates. Evaluate and develop municipal ordinances. Prepare GIS mapping and data analysis. Interpret census data. Participate in public outreach efforts, including workshops and meetings. Collaborate with engineers to develop safety, multimodal, and streetscape improvements and analysis for towns, corridors, and intersections. Coordinate projects within the project team and with client agencies and stakeholders. Prepare summary reports and memos, including environmental documents. Provide proposal support and develop work plans. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in community planning or related field. BS or MS in Planning, Science, or Engineering. Valid driver's license. Experience with ARCGIS. Understanding of DE and MD regulatory processes. Experience with land use, zoning, and ordinance development. Additional Skills & Qualifications Proficiency in GIS and municipal code. Experience in design and land use development. Project planning experience in a municipal context. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Wilmington, DE. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $72000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
