Senior Multimodal Transportation Planner Transpo Group USA Kirkland, WA Job Details Full-time $132,000 - $144,000 a year 3 hours ago Qualifications Customer relationship building Transportation planning (urban planning) Managing projects Full Job Description Transpo Group is seeking a highly motivated Senior Multimodal Transportation Planner to support and lead project delivery within Public Planning Business Unit. This role manages complex, multimodal transportation planning projects, including long-range plans, active transportation plans, transit plans, climate resiliency plans, and corridor studies. The role also provides direction and oversight to junior staff to ensure high-quality, on-time deliverables. The position serves as a primary client-facing team member, supporting day-to-day coordination, stakeholder engagement, and implementation-focused planning, while also helping manage workloads, maintain continuity across projects, and advance client strategies. In addition, the role plays an active part in business development through proposal development, client engagement, and relationship management, with a particular emphasis on strengthening and growing client relationships. The position carries technical and contractual responsibility across assigned projects and supports practice leadership by balancing delivery demands with the firm's long-term growth objectives. Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Manage complex projects through individual contribution, as well as delegating work to junior level staff Accountable for staff performance in managing the workload and quality control of the projects Prepare or manage the preparation of plans, studies, and presentations, including related to long-range, short-range, and safety action plans, active transportation plans, transit plans, multimodal systems plan, corridor studies. Support or lead public engagement and stakeholder efforts in support of multimodal transportation planning projects Review work performed by other members for quality assurance Determine project budget requirements in relation to personnel, materials and equipment necessary to complete or carry out work of a proposed project or program for projects Help create strategic business development plans and lead proposal efforts Market and sell Transpo's services to new and existing clients Seek partnerships with other consultants or contractors that are beneficial to Transpo's business model Develop network of professional contacts and clients, partnering with senior staff to build relationships Contribute to company's sales and backlog goals Lead corporate or organizational strategic initiatives with other senior leaders
Qualifications :
7+ years of experience in multimodal transportation planning or related field Bachelor's degree in planning, engineering, transportation, or a related discipline (BA, BS, or BSCE) Excellent communication and organizational skills Demonstrated project management and relationship building skills At Transpo Group, we're shaping the future of transportation.
