Wenatchee, Washington Position Overview You don't just interpret zoning codes; you shape places where people belong. As our Land Use Planner, you will guide the future of our built environments through planning rooted in purpose, equity, and connection. Land use is more than regulation, its vision made visible. This role is for someone who understands that how we plan reflects how we value community, ecology, and legacy. Your Role Lead zoning, permitting, master planning, and entitlement processes across a wide range of projects. Mentor junior planners to think beyond policy—toward people and place. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and surveyors to embed intention and story into every site plan. Represent clients and community in public meetings with clarity, integrity, and emotional presence. Build and nurture strong relationships with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and community stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Direct land use planning efforts, including rezones, variances, platting, and long-range plans. Prepare and present reports, plans, and applications to municipalities and community stakeholders. Guide internal teams with a clear understanding of local and state regulations. Advocate for human-first, sustainable, and inclusive development practices in all projects. Build trust with communities through authentic facilitation and communication. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in land use, urban planning, or related fields. Deep knowledge of Washington State and local planning regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public presentation experience. Proven ability to lead entitlement or community-led planning processes. High emotional intelligence and the ability to bridge technical knowledge with human-centered decision-making. A passion for sustainable development, community building, and purposeful land use. Salary Range:
