  • Placement Coordinator We are looking for a compassionate, relationship-focused professional to join our Children Services team.
Our Placement Coordinator position works directly with foster and adoptive families, to ensure children are safe, supported, and promote long-term child permanence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys partnering with families, completing home studies, matching children with the right placement, and guiding caregivers through the foster/adoptive process. You'll use your communication skills, curiosity, and critical thinking to evaluate family strengths, recommend placements, and support children throughout their journey in care. If you are organized, confident in the field, and motivated by making a meaningful difference for children and families in our community, this role offers an opportunity to create lasting impact every day. Position Overview Under the direct supervision of the Children Services Administrator, the Social Services Placement Coordinator coordinates all foster and adoption activities, recruits, screens, counsels children and potential foster and adoptive families to ascertain their ability to assume the responsibilities and meet the goals of the program. This position conducts all home studies needed when Kinnect is not involved and submits and recertifies foster care home license applications to the Ohio Department of Children & Youth for approval. This position also acts as the liaison between social services workers and foster/adopt parents. The Placement Coordinator works closely with the child and his/her family to develop and implement the case plan and reviews, writes and maintains detailed and accurate summaries, plans, reports, and case records. This position also regularly transports or arranges for transportation for clients, parents, foster/adopt parents to appointments as needed. Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in human services related studies
  • A bachelor's degree in any field and employed for at least two years in a human service-related occupation
  • An associate degree in human services related studies.
  • At least five years of employment in a human service-related occupation.
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and experience within social welfare or client welfare services are preferred.
If the candidate does not already have a bachelor's degree at the time of hire, they MUST obtain a human service-related bachelor's degree within five (5) years of hire in accordance with section 5101:2-33-55 of the Ohio Administrative Code Benefits to Joining our

Starting rate $19.07
