Cast Member City Year seeks AmeriCorps Members to serve full-time in public schools, supporting students' academic and social-emotional growth. In this education-focused role, you'll provide tutoring, mentor students, assist in classrooms, and lead small-group interventions. You'll collaborate with school staff and a diverse team to create a positive learning environment. Provide in-class support and small-group tutoring to students in core subjects Build positive, mentoring relationships that promote attendance and engagement Track student progress and document interventions using school and City Year tools Collaborate with teachers and school staff to plan and deliver academic and social-emotional support Participate in training, coaching, and team meetings to build skills and reflect on practice Support school-wide activities, events, and after-school programs as needed Student support strategies Tutoring and academic enrichment Classroom assistance Data entry and progress tracking Microsoft Office/Google Workspace Professional communication Conflict resolution Youth mentoring Time management Community outreach Eligibility to serve as an AmeriCorps member (U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident) Ability to pass required background checks Commitment to a full-time service term with City Year AmeriCorps
