Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience providing counseling services within a school environment. Familiarity and practice with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Knowledge of Responsive Classroom, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), or Montessori educational principles. Demonstrated skill in coordinating with community resources and delivering wraparound services for students and families. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Appropriate certification or licensure for school counseling.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct counseling services to students, supporting their academic, social, and emotional well-being. Implement and model evidence-based interventions, including CBT strategies and school-wide behavioral supports. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor student support plans. Foster a safe and inclusive school climate, encouraging positive interactions and resilience. Facilitate referrals to outside agencies and coordinate with community partners to provide students with comprehensive wraparound support. Contribute to school-wide initiatives promoting mental health and student engagement.
