Position Overview Sunshine After School Child Care is seeking bilingual, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with children. After Care Counselors assist with planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities for school-aged children in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Schedule Requirements Applicants must be available:Monday-Friday:
1:15 p.m.- 6:00 p.
Early Release Days:
11:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must meet local and state licensing requirements, including:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Reliable transportation
- Enjoy working with children and be a team player Pre-Employment & Training Requirements
- Pass federal and local background checks (School Board fingerprinting) We fingerprint through: https://crw.flclearinghouse.com/
- Complete a physical examination within 48 hours of hire (Paid for by Sunshine)
- Complete 45 hours of Child Care training within one year of employment (Paid for by Sunshine)
- Obtain CPR and First Aid Certification within 30 days (Scheduled and paid for by Sunshine) Work Location On-site at various Broward County school locations Remote work: Not available
