Job Summary and Requirements:
Provide comprehensive school counseling services that support students' academic achievement, career development, and social-emotional growth. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, assess student needs, develop and implement intervention plans, collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families, respond to crisis situations, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school policies and professional standards. Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student support meetings. The position requires the ability to remain emotionally stable, exercise sound judgment, and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities and responding appropriately to student needs and unexpected situations. The role also requires the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; move throughout the classroom and school; and lift and carry materials or equipment weighing 20 pounds or more as needed.
Qualifications:
Masters and license in School Counseling. Prefer relevant experience.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary is based on experience and certification at a range from $45,000.00 to $83,500.00 as reflected in the Master Teacher Contract. Benefit options include section 125 health, vision, and dental coverage, subject to plan terms (for employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week) , voluntary benefits such as life insurance, long-term disability, and other ancillary insurance options (subject to applicable waiting periods, for employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week), p articipation in VEBA to receive up to 1% of salary deposited into individual VEBA account (must be vested 5 years) , participation in
TRF My Choice:
Retirement Savings Plan or TRF Hybrid Plan, investment program (403b) with up to 3% 401a match, paid Time Off, 4 personal days and 9 sick days. This will be prorated based on the start date. Unused paid leave days roll over into sick accumulated days, and use of the Wellness Gym (workout facility for all employees and guests ages 18+) and Marathon Health Clinic.
