Works with school teachers and administrators to address problems that affect student performance, and identifies resources for students and families. Helps high school students to plan academic course work and advises on the college search and application process.

Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Organize and provide individual counseling services and social skill group opportunities Design and deliver universal tiered supports and interventions for all students Case management for assigned caseload Collaborate and consult with school personnel on topics related to social/emotional learning and mental health issues, including providing classroom based SEL lessons Provide crisis intervention, when needed Collaborate and consult with personnel and the teams at receiving elementary schools to plan for transitions Maintain contact with outside providers and agencies to facilitate comprehensive approaches to student services When applicable, develop individual student goals and benchmarks, collect and analyze data, and prepare progress reports Work with the SST team and meetings Provides IEP services to students (Counseling/Social Skills) Complete special education paperwork including referrals and background data collection and attends/participates in IEP team meetings. Co-chair the 504 team process and meetings Assume a leadership role in implementing a social/emotional curriculum and Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Attend scheduled building based staff meetings and participates in district clinical staff meetings Participate in and maintain Safety Care certification Perform other related duties as required by the PrincipalBenefits
