POSITION :
SITT Room Coordinator
REQUIREMENTS
Must meet the minimum requirements for Instructional Paraprofessionals in Title I Schools. (have Degree, Associates, 60 college hours or pass the ParaEducator Test). Ability to implement Restorative Practices. Previous experience working with students in a school or educational setting is preferred. Familiarity with techniques and strategies for managing student behavior and conflict resolution. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, administrators, and parents. Good organizational skills to manage students, documentation, and maintain a structured environment. Ability to work collaboratively with other school staff members to support student success and maintain a consistent approach to restorative practices.
JOB DUTIES
: Supervise students who have been placed in SITT. This involves monitoring student behavior, ensuring they follow the rules and guidelines set for the SITT program, and maintaining a safe and structured environment. Offer academic and emotional support to students, encouraging them to reflect on their actions and make positive choices. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to exchange information about student progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise. Keep accurate records of student attendance, behavior incidents, and any other relevant documentation. Help students resolve conflicts and address behavioral issues. Performs other duties as assigned within the boundaries of all state and federal guidelines.
