Masters Degree in School Counseling or Michigan Teaching Certificate with the School Counselor (NT) Endorsement Preferred experience: master scheduling; PowerSchool; personal and crisis counseling; Section 504 plans; attendance interventions; alternative pathways; guidance counseling; and middle/high school teaching.JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Coordinate with school administration on Master Schedule and handle all master scheduling for the building. Lead Testing Coordinator for the building and for the Virtual school. Provide academic and personal guidance to students in middle and high school. Communicate and collaborate with staff, parents, and community members. Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student progress Assist in remediation by providing treatment plans or individual and/or group counseling sessions Facilitate the resolution of behavioral and emotional issues in a constructive manner Work effectively with community organizations and agencies Ensure all students complete their EDP Guide all learners through MTSS tiered supports and PBIS implementation Provide new student orientation and attendance interventions as needed Monitor and evaluate courses, credits, and requirements for student graduation progress Manage scholarships for seniors and work with CCAC representative guiding FAFSA completion Provide class presentations and guidance lessons in the classroom and in small groups as needed Plan and organize activities to support students' transition to the middle/high school Follow policies, procedures, and all other ethical practices and requirements while working with students Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.ESSENTIAL SKILLS/ABILITIES
