Job Description

Qualifications:
Must have a Master's Degree in Education with a valid Michigan School Counselor License or a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a School Counselor (NT) Endorsement Experience with student information systems preferred Must be able to work non-traditional schedule as needed Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively with students, parents, staff, and the community
Responsibilities & Duties:
Implement comprehensive school counseling program to support students in the areas of academics, college/career, and meeting EDP requirements Provide classroom instruction that is aligned with the comprehensive school counseling program Building coordinator for 504 plans and testing (M-Step, PSAT) Counsel students during times of stress, anxiety, and transition; provide referrals to outside resources as appropriate Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to create equitable plans to increase student opportunity and success Regular and reliable attendance Other duties as assigned
