Job Description

Jump Ahead Pediatrics is actively seeking a School Counselor to join our team near Mt. Holly , New Jersey , for a full
  • time (leave replacement) school-based role!

School-Based Services (Pediatric) Excellent Compensation Exclusive school placement (no travel required), PreK-1
School Building Hours:
M
  • F, 8:20 am
  • 3:35 pm, September 2026
  • January 8th 2027 Compensation for the full school day, including prep time, note time, and lunch.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Individual Counseling :
Offer one-on-one counseling sessions to students dealing with academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
Facilitate Group Counseling :
Lead small group sessions to support students with common concerns, such as peer relationships, study skills, anxiety, or stress management.
Academic Support and Guidance :
Assist students in identifying academic strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement. Provide guidance on course selection, study habits, and time management.
Crisis Intervention :
Respond to students in crisis situations, providing immediate support and referrals to appropriate resources. The counselor's schedule would include classroom visits/lessons, collaboration meetings with staff, and, as needed, behavioral/social emotional support for students. The counselor would share support with the other school counselor in the building for approx. 300 total students. Direct services to Preschool/Kindergarten students, approx. 30 students give or take. Final determination will be after school begins and based on student need.
Requirements:
Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (required) Valid State Certification or Licensure as a School Counselor (required) Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting (preferred)
