Students in your community need YOU! AmeriCorps is a life-changing service experience. By joining the Ohio Reading & Math Corps , you will make a lasting impact on local 9th-12th grade students while gaining invaluable, hands-on experience in a school setting.
What You Will Do:
As an AmeriCorps Member, you will receive comprehensive training and be assigned to one for the school year to serve 30 hours/week .
Your day-to-day will include:
Targeted Mentoring:
Provide 1:1 or small-group support to 5th-12th grade students who could use some additional support in non-academic areas (attendance, emotion regulation, school connection, relationships, etc.)
Consistent Mentorship:
Work with a designated, consistent list of students to track progress and build their confidence over the school year.
Collaboration:

Monthly Living Stipend:
$1,500 per month.
Segal AmeriCorps Education Award:
Up to $3 , 750 upon successful completion of your service term (can be used to pay off existing student loans or future college tuition).
