Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicant must: possess a valid Ohio Education of the Handicapped Licensed/Certificate with SLD, CD validation (candidates with multiple special education validations preferred) or
Intervention Specialist:
Mild-Moderate, Moderate-Intensive be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual student demonstrate the ability to identify individual student needs creatively develop and implement integrated and functional activities to teach the content standards effectively differentiate instruction efficiently use student data to determine individual needs, develop targeted learning plans, and monitor ongoing progress serve students with a variety of handicapping conditions as well as at-risk students within an intervention or inclusion setting effectively plan, design, and implement a variety of behavior management strategies possess strong communication and organizational skills demonstrate the ability to collaborate with parents, special and regular education staff, students, related service personnel, and community agencies in the delivery of services to students with disabilities be objective, flexible, and have an understanding of students with disabilities supervise classroom aides and guide their work with students participate in department, building, and district professional development opportunities relating to the education of students with disabilities be acceptable to the Building Principal, Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel
