As the school's primary Guidance Counselor—likely serving one building—you'll foster student success, promote personal growth, and support academic achievement.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid state certification or license for school counseling. Demonstrated background in school-based counseling or guidance. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with students, families, and staff. Skills in crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and individual or group counseling. Experience developing and implementing student support plans is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized counseling and guidance for students' academic, social, and emotional development. Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify at-risk students and develop support strategies. Facilitate group sessions and workshops on topics such as decision-making, college and career planning, and social skills. Maintain accurate, confidential records and produce required reports. Engage with families to communicate student progress and provide referrals to external resources as needed.
