Works with school teachers and administrators to address problems that affect student performance, and identifies resources for students and families. Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree Experience:
Minimum of 1 year working in academic support for student-athletes at the Division I levelKnowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent written and oral communication skills Computer proficiency with many software programs Excellent organization skills Ability to handle several responsibilities/projects simultaneously Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to work with a diverse team and with a diverse population of student-athletes.Preferred Qualifications Education:

The Thornton Center is a comprehensive academic support unit for student-athletes, offering specialized programming in the areas of Academic Counseling, Learning Services, and Student-Athlete Development. Monitor the academic progress of assigned student-athletes throughout their academic careers Monitor the academic eligibility of assigned student-athletes; assist in the development of academic goals for each assigned student-athlete Communicate with coaches on the academic progress of each student-athlete Establish relationships with campus academic departments Assist with the recruitment of prospective student-athletes on unofficial and official recruiting visits - including night and weekend responsibilities Monitor academic various metrics (APR, GSR, GPA) for assigned teams and develop strategies for success.Benefits
