Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract School Counselor supporting a vibrant educational community. This opportunity allows you to utilize your experience and credentials to help guide elementary and middle school students as they learn, grow, and navigate academic and personal challenges. In this role, you will work part-time across approximately five campuses, with a manageable caseload of around 30 students. Your dedication will contribute to student well-being, promote a positive school climate, and support social and emotional development.
Ideal candidates will bring:
A valid LPC license in the state of Texas Previous experience or strong passion for working in school settings, ideally with elementary and middle school populations Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills The ability to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally Strong organizational and time-management abilities, especially in a multi-campus environment Responsibilities include: Providing individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, or emotional needs Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to design and implement effective support strategies Maintaining detailed documentation on student progress and services provided Assisting with crisis intervention and prevention, as needed Supporting students through transitions and key developmental stages This contract role offers a consistent part-time schedule (16 hours per week), ideal for those seeking work-life balance or adding supplementary experience to their career.
