Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a school counselor for a contract position based near Conroe, TX. In this role, you'll assist elementary and middle school students across multiple campuses, providing tailored counseling services to promote student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional growth.
Key Qualifications:
Current LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Texas Experience with K-8 student populations preferred Ability to manage caseloads across multiple campuses Strong interpersonal and communication skills Organizational ability to effectively balance short-term interventions and ongoing student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct counseling and guidance to a diverse caseload (approximately 30 students) across elementary and middle school levels Provide short-term interventions to address academic, personal, and social issues Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive student outcomes Participate in meetings regarding individualized student support plans Maintain accurate records and documentation per district and state requirements Support students through transitions and developmental challenges Uphold and model ethical and professional conduct at all times This contract opportunity begins August 12, 2025, and runs through May 21, 2027; you'll be scheduled for up to 16 hours weekly with some flexibility to accommodate campus needs and student schedules.
