Primary Purpose:
The School -based Licensed Mental Health Professional promotes and enhances the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning. The School-based License Mental Health Professional significantly contributes to the development of a healthy, safe and caring environment by advancing the understanding of the emotional and social development of children and the influences of family, community, and cultural differences on student success and by implementing effective intervention strategies.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's degree in education, counseling, social work, or related field Current license in the State of Texas - LMSW LCSW, LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LMFT required
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Excellent decision-making skills Ability to instruct students and manage their behaviors Ability to work with parents, students, and teachers Ability to resolve conflict, listen and appropriately respond to concerns Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data
Experience:
