Job Description

Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Bring your expertise and compassionate guidance to support and empower students as a School Counselor in the vibrant K-12 education setting near Killeen, Texas. With a 37.5-hour workweek on a consistent Monday-Friday schedule, you'll play a vital role in fostering students' academic, social, and emotional growth alongside a dedicated educational team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid TX Counselor credential is required Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students Strong understanding of counseling best practices within school settings Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to manage diverse caseloads and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, career, and personal/social challenges among students Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop intervention strategies supporting student success Facilitate crisis intervention and help mediate conflicts as needed Coordinate and participate in parent-teacher conferences and school committees focused on student wellness Create, implement, and monitor plans for students requiring additional support services Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate for all
