An Academic or Guidance Counselor provides guidance to students in elementary, middle and high schools to help them succeed academically and socially. Works with school teachers and administrators to address problems that affect student performance, and identifies resources for students and families. Helps high school students to plan academic course work and advises on the college search and application process.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Master's Degree with Texas certification in school counseling Valid Texas teacher certification, preferred Valid Texas Administrator certification, preferred Licensed as a LPC, LPC-S, or LPC-A, preferredExperience:
Minimum of five (5) years of successful school counseling experience, including at least two (2) years at the secondary level Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience in counseling, CCMR, or related district initiatives Experience in comprehensive school counseling across PK-12 settings, including guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, systems support, and graduation planning Experience leading district-wide professional learning, mentoring, or counseling-related committees, preferred- Please see attached Job Description for more information.
