Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a part-time counselor supporting students' personal and academic success. This position is ideal for a skilled LPC passionate about fostering a positive environment where students can thrive. You'll work closely with an 18-student caseload, providing guidance, support, and intervention as needed. With a start date of August 17th, you'll play a key role in helping students navigate challenges both in and out of the classroom setting. Additional details regarding hours and caseload specifics will be shared soon.
Qualifications:
Current, active LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license for Texas Proven experience or interest in working with school-aged youth Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students Capable of maintaining detailed records with discretion and confidentiality Analytical problem-solving skills and a compassionate attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Provide counseling for social, emotional, and behavioral concerns Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop interventions Conduct individual and small group sessions according to student needs Assist in the creation of individualized support plans Maintain up-to-date documentation consistent with ethical and legal standards This contract role offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in students' lives.
