Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
: Must be able to examine and evaluate data; train others through explanation and demonstration and/or supervised practice; determine and interpret job procedures; speak or signal to convey or exchange information, including giving assignments or directions. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Read manuals, write letters, summaries, and reports using the prescribed format, participate in discussions, and speak extemporaneously on various subjects. Will arrange meetings with various agencies for referrals and talk in detail about the WIOA program. Ability to drive independently. Must reside in Fayette, AL.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
1. Will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Future Promise Youth program. 2. Will assist in developing and implementing a Future Promise Individualized Program Plan for workers/participants. 3. Will be responsible for completing required work in a timely manner. 4. Will observe and record data on participants concerning work assignments and personnel actions. Prepare reports based on data observed. 5. Will provide general marketing of the Future Promise program to the business community. 6. Will document contact with participants through case notes and participant files. 7. Will maintain monthly travel forms and submit them for reimbursement by the end of each pay period. 8. Will carry out other responsibilities/assignments as requested by supervisor. 9. Will work in an array of settings, assisting participants with various issues. 10. Will help with transporting participants to and from GED classes and work. 11. Will develop employment opportunities for participants in their caseload, and supply job leads for the job lead database. 12. Will prepare and lead monthly participant workshops as needed. 13. Will coordinate ITA referrals and placements with the Tuscaloosa Career Center. 14. Will perform other duties as assigned. Must pass a background and MVR check. A drug test is required.
