About the
Role:
We are looking for a motivated Student Affairs Specialist to provide advanced student support services, including career development, employer relations, and counseling. This position plays a key role in fostering student success and engagement through event planning, job placement, and student advocacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage employer relations to enhance student job placement opportunities. Lead and coordinate career fairs, employer visits, and student outreach programs. Conduct individual and group counseling sessions for career and personal development. Maintain student employment records and ensure compliance with institutional policies. Collaborate with academic departments to align career services with student needs. Monitor and analyze student engagement data to improve program effectiveness. Assist with social media outreach and digital content creation.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in student affairs, career services, or a related field. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Experience in event planning and employer relations is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and student database systems.
Preferred Skills:
Background in student engagement, academic advising, or career counseling. Knowledge of FERPA and student development best practices. Social media and content creation experience is a plus.
