Job Description
The Employment Support Specialist assists justice-involved individuals as they transition back into the workforce by providing employment planning, case management, and job placement support. The position emphasizes long-term employment retention and successful community reintegration. Primary Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive needs assessments. Develop individualized employment and reentry plans. Provide ongoing case management and progress monitoring. Deliver job readiness workshops, including: Resume development Interview preparation Workplace professionalism Build relationships with employers and community partners. Connect participants to supportive services such as: Housing Mental health services Substance use treatment Other community resources Maintain accurate documentation and outcome reports. Provide follow-up services to improve job retention. Advocate for second-chance employment opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with justice-involved or underserved populations. Strong case management and documentation skills. Knowledge of community resources. Microsoft Office proficiency. Valid California driver's license. Ability to travel locally. Lived experience was explicitly welcomed in the posting.
