Program Manager of Employer Engagement Job Summary:
The Career Navigator is responsible for implementing programs, fostering partner relationships, and supporting clients to overcome employment-related barriers. This position provides direct services to individuals in programs such as the Apprentice Readiness Program, ComCor, and the SCC Employment Opportunity Lab. The role includes client intake, program facilitation, and supporting career pathways initiatives. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Duties/Responsibilities:
Program Support:
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Programs and Program Manager and other staff to ensure effective delivery of employment-related services.
Client Engagement:
Conduct initial client intake, assess individual needs, and connect clients with appropriate services and programming.
Event and Training Facilitation:
Organize and support program logistics, facilitate training sessions, and maintain accurate records of client activities.
Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain professional relationships with community partners, employers, and stakeholders.
Outreach Activities:
Conduct outreach via phone, email, and in-person meetings to engage clients and community partners.
Resource Coordination:
Assist clients in identifying and accessing resources, including referrals to team members or external partners for specialized support.
Career Pathways Support:
Guide clients through registration and enrollment processes for programs such as the Urban Forestry Training Program and Solar Energy Training Program.
Technical Assistance:
Provide hands-on training in technology tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and internet-based platforms, as well as resume and job application support.
Employer Engagement:
Collaborate with local employers to promote fair-chance hiring practices and connect clients to employment opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work with internal teams to ensure alignment and success across the SCC's Employment Opportunity Lab and related initiatives. Required to support Second Chance Center in the City one day a week for Client-Partner Employment Services.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and other relevant software. Strong interpersonal and client service skills. Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with CRM systems and a willingness to learn new technologies. Language skills in Spanish or Arabic are a plus. Ability and willingness to cross-train and take on duties in related roles or departments as part of a team-oriented work environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with colleagues across departments. Adaptability to learn and perform tasks outside of primary role as required by business needs Preferred Skills / Competencies are as follows: Bilingual (Fluent Spanish) preferred. Previous experience working with the re-entry population. Previous experience in community navigation and service coordination. Understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based care management practices.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Minimum of two years of experience working with diverse populations in a client- or customer service environment. Experience supporting individuals facing challenges such as justice involvement, low income, homelessness, or disabilities. Valid Colorado driver's license required.
Working Environment, Physical Activities, and Equipment Used:
Typical office environment. Regularly uses computers for data input and other work.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to stand for extended periods while facilitating training. Occasionally required to climb stairs, walk, and lift light objects. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Compensation & Merit Increases:
The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $26.44 per hour. Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience. Vacation Leave & Sick Leave, Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k Plan. Merit increases are based on annual performance reviews. Employees brought in at the top of their pay range will need to transition to a role with greater responsibilities to qualify for further raises. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This full-time position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. Some evening and Saturday work may be required. Work hours are 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday through Friday, but may be adjusted according to business needs.
