Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) to join our behavioral health team in Denver. The CAS will provide direct support, counseling, and case management services to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This role is critical in helping clients achieve and maintain recovery through evidence-based practices and individualized care plans. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' substance use history, mental health status, and treatment needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment and recovery plans Provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, MI) Facilitate psychoeducational groups related to addiction, relapse prevention, and life skills Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state and organizational standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, medical staff, and case managers Assist clients in accessing community resources such as housing, employment, and healthcare services Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Ensure adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality regulations (HIPAA) Required Qualifications Current Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) credential in the state of Colorado Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field (Master's preferred) Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders Strong knowledge of addiction treatment principles and recovery models Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in outpatient, residential, or detox settings Familiarity with co-occurring mental health disorders Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems Work Environment Clinical and/or community-based settings May require evening or weekend hours depending on client needs Collaborative, mission-driven team environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience and credentials) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Professional development and continuing education opportunities
