Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Job Developer specializing in supporting individuals with disabilities! In this vital role, you will empower people with developmental disabilities, autism, and other challenges to find meaningful employment opportunities. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and foster independence, helping clients unlock their full potential. This position offers a rewarding chance to make a tangible difference in lives while developing your skills in workforce development, social work, and specialized job coaching. Duties Build strong relationships with supported individuals to understand their unique strengths, interests, and employment goals. Develop personalized employment plans that align with each individual's abilities and aspirations. Recruit and connect supported invidiuals with suitable employers through outreach, networking, and community engagement. Conduct interviews, assessments, and job readiness training to prepare supported individuals for successful employment. Mentor and support supported individuals throughout the job search process, including coaching on workplace behaviors and skills. Collaborate with employers to facilitate accommodations and ensure a supportive work environment. Maintain detailed records of supported individuals progress, employment placements, and employer feedback to track outcomes and improve services. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly preferred. Knowledge of employment & labor law ensures compliance with legal standards related to workplace rights and accommodations. Background in social work, workforce development, or teaching enhances your ability to support diverse client needs effectively. Experience in interviewing, mentoring, recruiting, and training & development is valuable for guiding clients toward success. Familiarity with counseling can be beneficial when supporting clients facing additional challenges. Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach are essential for building trust and fostering growth. Pay:
$17.75 - $19.00 per hour
